Who we are
JFT & Skill Mock (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Japanese language (JFT-Basic) and skill
qualification mock exams through our website at
https://thejfttest.com/, Progressive Web App (PWA),
and Android application (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information
described in this policy.
Data we collect
- Account data — learner name or username, phone number, unique access codes, and session authentication tokens.
- Email — when voluntarily provided or required for account communication.
- Device & network — approved device identifiers and IP addresses bound to your learner profile.
- Learning data — practice/mock answers, completion times, scores, section metrics, mistake notebook history, and study progress.
- Payment proofs — uploaded PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF receipts used only to request paid mock access (for example eSewa, Khalti, connectIPS, or bank transfer).
- Security telemetry — device/OS info, session logs, focus-loss and screen-visibility events during timed exams (anti-cheating only).
We do not collect credit card numbers, CVVs, PINs, OTPs, or banking passwords
inside the app. Card or wallet payments (when used) are handled by third-party gateways.
How we use data
- Service delivery — operate mock exams, section practice, and learning tools.
- Scoring — evaluate submissions server-side and calculate scores (out of 250).
- Access control — verify authorization codes and enforce device/IP binding.
- Payments — review uploaded proofs and unlock paid mock sets.
- Exam integrity — detect focus loss and tab-switching during active exams.
- Improvement — diagnose issues and improve question delivery and reliability.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertising networks.
We share data only when needed to run the Services:
- Infrastructure — trusted hosting providers under confidentiality obligations.
- Payment verification — eSewa, Khalti, connectIPS, or bank partners to validate transaction proofs.
- Legal — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Security & storage
- Transport — HTTPS/TLS encryption between clients and servers.
- Server isolation — scoring logic, answer keys, session secrets, and payment files are kept outside public web directories.
- Android protections — FLAG_SECURE during active exams to limit screen capture.
- Access control — learners can access only their own profile and results; admin tools stay restricted.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser Local Storage, Session Storage, and Service Workers to keep session tokens,
language preferences, and temporary study progress. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Retention & deletion
We keep your learner profile and exam history while your account is active or as needed to
provide the Services. You may request permanent deletion at any time.
After a valid request, personal identifiers, test logs, and uploaded payment proofs are removed
from our active database within 30 days.
Children
The Services are intended for learners generally aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect personal
data from children under 13. Contact us for removal if you believe this has occurred.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, restriction, or erasure of
personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. The “Effective date”
above will be revised when we do. Please review this page periodically.
